The PeopleScott Morrison, Winemaker
At CrossBarn Winery, Scott and his team craft chardonnay and pinot noir from the Sonoma Coast and cabernet sauvignon from the Napa Valley.
Scott developed a sensibility for the balance of art and science as a young man, while interning at a winery in the Napa Valley. Recognizing his calling to be a winemaker, he attained his degree in viticulture and enology at University of California at Davis, setting a strong foundation for his pursuit of the art of making fine wine.
His experience in the field includes tenure at select wineries in Napa and Sonoma Counties, including Paul Hobbs Winery, The Hess Collection and Rudd Winery.
At CrossBarn, Scott strives to showcase a sense of place in each of the wines, starting with growing exceptional quality fruit in the vineyard. Post-harvest, Scott ensures that fruit is treated gently and with careful attention to detail, allowing the natural beauty of the fruit to shine through in the finished wine.
Scott lives in Petaluma, California, with his wife, Emily, and his dog, Madison.
